Every year in Alanya and all in Turkey the day 23rd of April is the day of Children. Actually the week \u00a0from 21st is totally festival of national sovereignty and children&#8217;s days. The celebretion will start at Atat\u00fcrk monument at 09:00 o&#8217;clock on Sunday in Alanya.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Alanya protocol delegation will lay a wreath at Atat\u00fcrk Monument at city square and then move to harbour to let start the celebrations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Alanya national education board director <strong>Mr. H\u00fcseyin Er<\/strong> said this is the biggest fest for our younger kids in Turkey. This is a great gift which was given them by Atat\u00fcrk. This gift is not only given to Turkish kids but also to the foreigners. That&#8217;s why big number of country&#8217;s children come to Turkey and join the celebrations. Kids are innocents. How we teach them about \u00a0love, peace and tolerance \u00a0when they grow up absoluyely they apply. It is big opportunity by this way to get all the world&#8217;s chilren together and provide them share something together. Mr. Er added that we expect all our kids to harbour on Sunday with flags and joing the celebrations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>What does national sovereignty and children&#8217;s day mean?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On April 23, 1920 the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TGNA) was inaugurated in Ankara. It was the first step toward the creation of the Republic of Turkey, the roots of which were laid during the Turkish National War of Liberation led by Mustafa Kemal- later to be given the name Atat\u00fcrk (father of Turks).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Turkish national liberation struggle began on May 19, 1919 and culminated in the liberation of Anatolia from foreign occupation, the international recognition of modern Turkey\u2019s borders by the Treaty of Lausanne, and the founding of the Republic of Turkey on October 29, 1923.
